Are there often side effects associated with participating in a study? expand_more

The study drug may have side effects that are explained to you during your medical visit. However, it is important to mention that the majority of side effects are short-lived and it is the participant’s responsibility to report any new adverse events.

The trials are supervised by qualified, trained and experienced doctors, nurses and technicians who follow rigorous procedures. At all times, day and night, you will be supervised by our staff who will be happy to answer all your questions and respond to all your needs.

Is it true that the higher the amount of compensation, the more dangerous it is? expand_more

No. The amount of the compensation is not determined by the potential risks associated with the study, but is determined by the inconvenience of the study, such as the time spent on our premises and the frequency of visits. In some cases, these may be inconveniences related to restrictions during the study or to a large number of samples taken during the night.

Is the amount of compensation shown in your advertisement the amount actually paid, or is it just an example? expand_more

The amounts indicated represent the compensation paid if the study is completed by the participant. If the participant decides to withdraw from the study on their own before the end, they will receive only an amount proportional to the time invested.

How is the amount paid? expand_more

In most cases, most of the amount is paid at the end of the study directly to the participant on a ClinCard. On the other hand, if the study lasts several months, the distribution of the allowance may change. Everything is explained during your visit to our premises.

Why do some studies require confinement? expand_more

The vast majority of our studies require confinement, which means that participants have to sleep in our clinic. However, some studies may not require confinement.

Can I participate in more than one study per year? expand_more

Participants can participate in several studies, but not at the same time. You must complete a waiting period between studies (usually between 30 and 56 days) to ensure your safety.

Can I participate in a clinical study if I have had cancer before? expand_more

You could be eligible, depending on several factors, such as the type of cancer and number of years without recurrence. Each case is assessed by our doctors.

Can I leave the clinic when I am confined? expand_more

It is very important to control the environment for this type of research. Therefore, if the protocol requires it, you will have to stay in our clinic for the duration of the study, although this rarely lasts longer than 36 hours. For stays longer than 72 hours, outings take place under the supervision of our staff.

You will be informed of the required conditions before giving your consent to participate. However, participants can withdraw from the study at any time and have the opportunity to leave. In that case, a doctor will assess the risks of leaving the clinic early. For safety reasons, we recommend that participants follow the doctor’s advice.

Where do the participants sleep? expand_more

Participants sleep in dormitories or bunk rooms with a maximum of 8 people. In mixed studies, where study activities permit, we are careful to separate men from women.

What should I bring for my stay at the clinic? expand_more

Bring your personal belongings, clothes, books, magazines, laptop, etc. No products that may contain medicinal ingredients should be brought. In addition, according to the study, some personal belongings could be set aside to avoid interactions with the study drug. Soap, shampoo, towels and bedding are provided. You cannot bring extra bedding. Showers are also available.

Is it possible for my personal data to be made public? expand_more

Your personal information such as your name, address, phone number or email address will be kept confidential except when required by law.
